Playa del Carmen is ideally located in the center of the Riviera Maya. Over the past years, this beach town has become the most appealing tourist destination on this Mexican Caribbean coast. The town has grown within a small-scale environment filled with charm, a Caribbean lifestyle, and many diverse settings where locals and tourists can casually meet. Playa’s famous Quinta Avenida ( Fifth Avenue) is a major attraction. It is open to foot traffic only and is filled with a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

So pack light and buy it for less when you get here. There are several banks and many ATM machines throughout town.
