The Best Rate Guarantee applies only to online rates available to the general public. Group rates, corporate rates, wholesale rates, association rates or rates which are part of a travel package do not qualify.

Hotel Policy

At Playa Palms Beach Hotel we will welcome you with at friendly smile, looking forward to accommodate and please your needs. This is why we invite you to read carefully our policy, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

The hotel policy applies for all reservations received by any sale channel including the hotel’s booking engine, online sellers, walk-in, phone bookers, re-sellers, etc. 

Reservations Policy

All reservations require a prepayment deposit depending on the season, even those reservations made with online agencies or any other third company. 

If you have a specific situation because of the country of your precedence, please contact us and we will be glad to provide and alternative payment form.

Reservations without prepayment will not be confirmed.  We kindly ask you to only book the nights you are sure you will be staying.

All charges are done in Mexican Pesos. The hotel is not responsible for the exchange rate fluctuation or any bank fee associated to the use of the credit card.

For reservations staying from January 5 until December 20:
*2 nights deposit will be charged at time of booking. The balance is paid at hotel check in.

For reservations staying from December 21 until January 4:

*50% will be charged at time of booking.
*The rest will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.

Rates:

Room rate in studios is for 2 persons per room. In our suites, the rate is for up to 4 people.  Breakfast is included for 2 persons in the studios and for up to 4 people in the suites. Free stay person in rooms does not include breakfast.

A fee of 23.80 USD (taxes included) per night will be charged for each additional adult staying in an Ocean View Studio or Ocean Front Studio. . 

The rates do not include taxes (IVA 16% and Lodging 3%).

Rate Exchange:

The Hotel charges the deposit in local currency (MXN). Exchange rate in our country is subject to fluctuations according to the international money market. Therefore, if a credit card is submitted as a way of payment, a slight difference in the amount posted in the final statement of the bank and our account may be reflected. The hotel is not responsible for these discrepancies, and will apply the hotel's exchange rate of the day.

Cancellations

For reservations staying from January 5 until December 20:
*More than 7 days before the date of arrival, 100% refundable.
*7 days or less before the arrival date, not refundable

For reservations staying from December 21 until January 4:
*More than 30 days before the date of arrival, 100% refundable.
*30 days or less before the arrival date, not refundable

Unused nights, no-shows and/or early departures are not refundable.

The policy applies to cancellations forced by unforeseen events such as lost flights, cancelled flights, expired passports, illness, strikes, weather situation, etc.

Credit cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. If you pay with American Express, please submit the security code in comments or notes in your reservation. If we don’t receive it we will contact you to request it.

All guests are required to present the credit card that was used in the reservation payment at check in. Additionally a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, Mexican identification or passport) must be presented. The name on the credit card must match the name on the ID.

If the person who paid for the reservation will not be present at check in please contact the reservations department at reservations@playapalms.com to validate the credit card and authorize the charge, otherwise, we will not be able to deliver the room key.

Customer signature in credit card vouchers will be required at check in.

Check-in and Check-Out:

Check-in is from 3:00 PM onwards. If you arrive earlier we can store your luggage until your room is ready.

Checkout is at 12:00 PM. Guests who already checked out but are not yet departing, ask at the front desk for assistance in storing your luggage. Late check-outs are available on request, subject to room availability and occupancy level. Please check with the hotel’s front desk on the day of your check-out on availability of late check-out. An extra charge may be incurred.   

 General information:

  • Pets or service pets are not allowed.
  • All our studios have one queen bed per room, there is not option of two beds at the hotel, however we can provide a day bed, sofa bed or a rollaway bed  if requested by the guest.
  • Our hotel is a peaceful and tranquil place. This is why we do not accept loud guests that create disturbance or threat to any other guests or hotel staff.
  • All rooms are no smoking. Garden areas and terraces are smoking areas. It may apply extra charge in cases where there was smoking inside rooms.
  • Specific room location or unit number can’t be guaranteed , due to unexpected changes in the hotel’s daily operation, however we will note your request and do our best to provide the room of your preference or at least a similar room.
  • There is no restaurant on site, however we have the facilities to provide a complimentary breakfast on your balcony, as well as snacks and drinks during the day, at the beach or in your room. Additionally you can order from the menu of our neighbor restaurants to your room.
  • There are no phones in the rooms.
  • TV cable service is provided by a local Mexican company so there are no foreign channels in the list beside those included in the regular cable service.
  • The WiFi connection in the rooms and common areas is acceptable for the region, we provide 10M which may be insufficient for certain pages or internet activities.
  • If transportation service is required please submit the flight information by email to the hotel at least three days prior to arrival.

Lost room key, damaged in sheets or bedding clothes, lost beach towels will incur additional charges at check out.
